(Updated: December 21st, 2005) Upcoming Live Gigs: (See the Live Shows page for more details, including directions). The Brothers K are currently mixing their forthcoming (fifth) CD Blood, and so far the results are amazing. The brothers have taken a harder-edged approach on the new CD and the tightness and chops-factor are way higher than what they've done in the past! The band has confirmed that the following compositions will be on the CD: "Garden of Immolation," "Infernal Desire Machine," "Eden's Flow," "Windows," "Moontown," "The Red Path," and a new version of their classic heavy-psychedelic track "Opium." Kopecky has several progressive labels interested in releasing Blood, and negotiations are currently underway. Check back for updates on which label will be releasing it and when. Blood is scheduled for an early 2006 release. Interested in seeing when and where previous KOPECKY concerts have taken place? Check out the LIVE page, where there is now a select listing of previous KOPECKY concerts. Two CD's featuring two-time WAMI Bassist of the Year award winner William Kopecky have just been released: Hands Without Shadows, the latest record from guitar shred virtuoso Michael Angelo Batio, features William as the primary bassist. Also on one track is bass star Rudy Sarzo, who has played with Ozzy, Quiet Riot, Yngwie and Whitesnake. The drummer for the sessions was the incredible Bobby Rock (Vinnie Vincent, Gary Hoey), and guesting on guitar are Mark Tremonti (Creed, Alterbridge) and Metal Methods founder Doug Marks. He's also featured, not only on bass but on sitar and tanpura as well, on the new Flyin' Ryan Brothers CD Blue Marble. The largely instrumental disc showcases the Ryans' signature dual-lead guitar attack, but this time around the brothers have spiced up the mix by adding some killer world fusion sounds into the sonic stew. The write-up discusses the past, present and future of KOPECKY, and had this to say about the brothers K: "One of the most respected and classiest bands not only in progressive metal but in all of instrumental rock and fusion. Kopecky's music is dark, twisted, and intense yet enlightening, intoxicating..." The Kopecky bros recently made a cameo appearance in an independent film about author Jane Hamilton. The film was directed by famed video director Mark Leemkuil, whose production credits include the "Been Caught Stealin'" video from Jane's Addiction.
